Jackie and I always have a good time recording together...but today's episode is extra special, in my opinion.  We came into the conversation expecting to discuss age.  Which we did!  But the conversation evolved into something even more timely.  All I can say is listen in if you want to know what it feels like for Jackie to preach (and you do)!  I'm so glad to call her friend.

Linkables discussed in this episode:
Why America's Black Mothers and Babies are in a Life-or-Death Crisis, from The New York Times.
10 Small Habits That Help You Age Well, from Huffington Post.

Special thanks to Amy Van Vlear for original design and Jonathan Byram for original music!

Let us know what you think!  Did anything in our conversation, from aging to race and class disparities in the medical world leave you with questions...concerns...insights?  We'd love to talk more.  Send us a message or connect with me over on Instagram.

Whether you're pregnant or just fascinated with pregnancy and childbirth (which I admit is the boat I've been in since the age of ten), then you're going to love this season's episodes featuring Ingrid.  Each time we chat, she and I will be discussing some aspect of health in the pregnancy or postpartum seasons.  Today, that's prenatal nutrition!

Ever standing upon our truth that there is no one-size-fits-all diet, Ingrid and I are sure curious to dive into conventional prenatal nutrition advice that suspiciously seems to be the same for all women.  Hear how she's advocating for her own health and deciding what's best for her OMS lifestyle diet.

Are you pregnant?  We'd love to connect with you personally and cheer you on in the journey!  Leave a comment, send us a message, connect with Ingrid here on her website, or find me over on Instagram.

As promised many times in season 1, Alex and I are excited to finally share this episode on my movement philosophy...she asks me some good questions, challenges me well, and graciously encourages this philosophy that has helped me to find freedom in the way I'm working my body.  It's a good listen especially if you're someone who feels stuck in the area of exercise!

Linkables discussed in this episode:
Face Mapping.
Yoga with Adriene.

What's your philosophy when it comes to exercise/movement?  Do you favor one approach over the other?  We'd love to know!  Leave a comment, send us a message, or connect with me over on Instagram @ifeelsupernourished.

If you're a human listening to this podcast, you've experienced stress.  How do we know that?  Because stress is a normal (neutral--not good, not bad) human response!  This is just one of the angles on stress Lorrie and I are excited to share with you today.  It's an important episode to me, since getting stress in check is something I consider a pillar for personal health.

In editing, I found a point I wanted to clarify here in the show notes.  I mentioned that when I am anxious, I can feel adrenaline in my arms and legs.  Actually, what I am/we are feeling is the increased blood flow triggered by adrenaline in those moments.  Just wanted to correct myself so you have the right information!

Linkables discussed in this episode:
Dr. Libby Weaver's website.
Pressed Juicery.

What comes up for you as you listen to today's episode?  We'd love to know.  Please feel free to send your follow up questions.  Leave a comment, send us a message, connect with Lorrie here on her website, or connect with me over on Instagram @ifeelsupernourished.

Linkables discussed in this episode:
Oregon State article on Vitamin C and Skin Health.
