We've got another special guest joining us for our body positivity series!  Today, Ingrid Adelsberger is back in the hot seat and she's blessed us with a testimony of her experience through the postpartum season.  She has a special message for all our listeners who are new mamas!  I decided to use this photo of my nieces and nephew because they were each born from bodies I happen to love (yay for older sisters).  As always, we want to affirm that your body is a good body!  Let's dig in.

Listen to Episode 58 in iTunes, the Apple Podcasts app, or Stitcher.

We've got a couple of special guests helping out with our body positivity series and today, I'm so pleased to welcome back one of our original cohosts, Lorrie Gray!  She has returned to drop a quick mic (hehe) on what it means to be in relationship with your body.  We talk about how neutral self talk can be a helpful bridge from negative to positive thinking and we also talk about some helpful verbiage around describing our bodies.  Let's get into it!

Listen to Episode 57 in iTunes, the Apple Podcasts app, or Stitcher.

Linkables discussed in today's episode:
Jesus Calms the Storm (sermon from North Coast Church).
Episode 9 of We Feel Super Nourished! (Cooking on the Fly, or "kitchen sink cooking" w/ Lorrie).

Check out Lorrie's website if you want to get on her mailing list or find out more about her work.

Special thanks to Amy Van Vlear for original design and Jonathan Byram for original music!

How does this message land with you?  Could you benefit from referring to your body as "me" more often?  Or just shifting to neutral statements for a time?  We'd love to hear how you're doing!  You can always  send us a message find us over on Instagram @thelorriegray and @ifeelsupernourished.

Keeley joins me today to kick off our four part series on Body Positivity!  Is this a phrase you've heard before?  We're spending today's episode talking about what the concept means to us and why we think our definition doesn't leave space for the BMI to hold power.  After listening, you may want to hang onto this definition, so here it is for you in writing:

Here at We Feel Super Nourished, Body Positivity means:
1. Yes!  All bodies are good bodies.
2. We tell the truth about our bodies in love.
3. Health is available to shapes and sizes of all sorts and must be determined through a holistic lens.

Listen to Episode 56 in iTunes, the Apple Podcasts app, or Stitcher.

Linkables discussed in today's episode:
What is the Body Positive Movement? on YouTube.
Episode 14 of We Feel Super Nourished: A Nourishing Vocabulary Lesson.
Top 10 Reasons Why the BMI is Bogus on npr.org.

Special thanks to Amy Van Vlear for original design and Jonathan Byram for original music!

We really hope to hear from you on this one!  What questions help you evaluate your own health?  Snap a selfie of your bad self and share it with us, tagging #wefeelsupernourished!  You can always  send us a message or find us over on Instagram @keeleylange and @ifeelsupernourished.
