Today, I get to sit down with Leah to talk supplements: what are they, why do we take them, and when do we take them?  And then we get into..."but what about when they're not our top priority?"  If you've been wondering whether or not you're taking enough supplements, we hope today's episode gives you permission to breathe easy and keep focusing on your most important things (which may include supplements).  Let's get into it!

Episode 53: Approaching the Tricky Conversations

3/15/2019

Keeley is back to help us talk through a sensitive topic!  What do you do when a close friend or family member needs help with health?  Is it your place to intervene?  If so, how do you even start the conversation?  We're here to tell you that while it's not our responsibility to fix people or to assume ourselves the experts of their experiences...if they're open to have a conversation, good can come of it!  As proof, here's a photo of the female side of our family clan...most of whom have graciously let me ask dignifying questions about their health.  And the relationships survived!

Listen to Episode 53 in iTunes, the Apple Podcasts app, or Stitcher.

Special thanks to Amy Van Vlear for original design and Jonathan Byram for original music!

Episode 52: Eating Out

Well now that we've thoroughly discussed why we prefer eating at home...let's turn the tables and talk about how we approach eating out.  Because even for those with the most sensitive of diets, eating out is part of thriving in society from time to time.  Leah and I have two very different perspectives to offer you.  For me, eating out is all about focusing on people over food (but never ignoring the food) and for Leah, eating out is mainly about safety now that managing Celiac Disease is her primary health task.  She was very generous to lend us some insight into how having a serious food sensitivity impacts social life.  So let's dig in!

Listen to Episode 52 in iTunes, the Apple Podcasts app, or Stitcher.

Linkables discussed in this episode:
findmeglutenfree.com (it's also an app!)
Boudin Bakery

Special thanks to Amy Van Vlear for original design and Jonathan Byram for original music!

What's the main thing on your mind as you're leaving the door to eat out?  We'd love to know!  Send us a message or find me over on Instagram @ifeelsupernourished.
