A few weekends ago, I had the honor of having a few of my closest friends over for a dinner party. Our intimate gathering was made perfect primarily through fellowship, but it wouldn't have been a Nourished! dinner party without a special preparation of food too! I used the party as an opportunity to make a special announcement that I'll now share here:
An original cookbook is coming to Nourished! sometime in late 2016!
The dinner party was also a perfect opportunity for trying out some of the recipes that will be going into my cookbook. In Nourished! fashion, the entire meal was free of refined sugars and flours, and made with as many organic ingredients as possible. Our menu for the evening was as follows:
Bacon-wrapped, cheddar-stuffed dates
Charcuterie platter of whole wheat breads, antibiotic and hormone free cured meats, an assortment of cheeses, fresh fruit, dijon, sugar free jam, and raw honey
Homemade potato salad
Moroccan style grilled chicken
Vegan peach and blueberry crisp
Flourless chocolate cake
Homemade ice cream
If this menu or any of the dishes listed intrigue you, stay tuned, for the cookbook will be making appearances here on the blog in the next year as I share recipes of the month. You won't want to miss any announcements or promos as the book nears its launch.
